Ladder to the Moon

I once had a grandmother that loved me so,
She's in a better place now,
At least everyone says so.
Although I am little,
I can still decipher riddles.
She told me to meet her in a place far away,
Where comets and stars live and stay.
She built me a ladder that helped me up,
To the place where she landed,
On her journey through the sky,
She told me, "Don't worry, I'm always nearby."
She told me she loved me so when I woke up in my room,
Her voice was what I held onto,
Even after my trip to the moon.
