This book was really too short for my liking but then again I could read about Peter Pan forever. Goodreads Summary *NO SPOILERS* This book has me shook. Usually, I jump right into writing my review after I finish a book, but I had to sit and compose myself for a minute after getting done. This book was close to being on my Top 5 2017 list, but it didn’t make it because of some issues I had with the book regarding my personal preferences. Everything about this book was flawless, the writing style, the story, each character, was beautiful. It warmed my heart to read this book because it is a true piece of art. Except, this book had blood and gruesome details that made me queasy. I hate anything to do with doctors or hospitals, especially needles and blood. This book had the latter two in abundance. Goodreads Summary Fans of Kasie West’s P.S. I Like You, and Ava Dellaira’s Love Letters to the Dead, will love this book! I bought this book from BookOutlet because it seemed mildly interesting, and so I could brag that I bought 14 books for $42 (that dang boxing day sale, am I right?) Goodreads Summary Since the release of this book I have seen it all over bookstagram. That is part of the reason I picked it up, but also because I kept getting “One of Us is Lying” vibes. And I wanted to give this thriller/YA genre another try, because I was really expecting to love One of Us is Lying and really kind of didn’t (my book review here). So, I enjoyed this book immensely, I loved the social media conversations and insights to the main characters agoraphobia, but it was lacking in some areas. Goodreads Summary This book fell flat for me. The cover and synopsis interested me but when I actually got into it I was disappointed. I didn’t really have high expectations for this book, but I wanted to enjoy it, I really did. I tried too but I have some problems with the story. The first problem I had was the world building. I liked the idea of it, but it could have been written better. There are magical and non-magical beings that live in the same city, but the regular humans don’t know about the existence of magic. To me it seemed like these were two separate worlds because sometimes the characters wouldn’t even hide or hush their conversations about magic. Goodreads Summary I was so glad to get back into the grishaverse without really being immersed back into it. This book is a book of grishaverse tales, from Ravka to Kerch. They were each so, so good! I loved all of them and couldn’t help but imagine myself as a Fjerdan or Zemeni child growing up on these tales. The best part is that each of them is a fairy tale retelling but with the grisha world influence. You all know how much I love a retelling! And I got six of them in this book! That was a long time ago so when I actually started reading it I was a little confused. At the beginning there is a feel of magic and fantasy but I kept reading and found out that it is actually a mental health book. I usually go into books blind and knowing as little about them as possible, which is probably why I was confused. So if you are interested in learning about mental health and kind of how they can interrupt someone’s life, then this is a good place to start. What makes this book even better is that it is a Peter Pan re-telling! Although it is from Hook’s point of view, this book is still extremely intriguing. I always love tales from the supposed “villain” and this is a darker tale than the original. I really liked this book but if I were to change anything, it would be that we got to read more about Jamie with the pirates. This story focuses more on the relationship Jamie and Peter had as kids, and how Jamie came to hate Peter, and then eventually became Hook. I felt like there could have been a little more of the grown-up pirate and not the lost boy in Peter’s band of wildlings. My logic in requesting this book from the website Blogging for Books, was that maybe my love for graphic novels could help me start to love history as well. The problem with that is that I just think history is boring, so I don’t think I will ever be cured of my disinterest in the subject. I didn’t quite enjoy this book because of the way it presented information, sometimes it felt like I was reading bits and pieces of a history textbook. Goodreads Summary *NO SPOILERS* Aaru is truly an awesome gem of a book! I went into this book not knowing much but was very intrigued by the premise. I was a little apprehensive at first because I didn’t really know if I would love it or not, but my fears were unfounded! Reading this book was such a pleasure and it is one of those that really makes you think without being overly philosophical and boring. The only problem I had throughout the entirety of this book was that some of the language was really big words I had no idea what they meant, but that gave me the opportunity to learn some new vocabulary. I really liked the topic exploration of death, and how our world and lives would change if technology were to evolve enough to actually store our souls. It's just another manic monday... Today's item is so simple but extremely useful,  it's a READING PILLOW!! (I don't know the actual name for it)                     Seriously guys, we all have trouble finding a comfortable reading position, and this pillow could solve all those problems.! Get yourself one of these and you won't have trouble reading for hours on end. Depending on what style or brand you get, these things can be cheap as well! Like I said it is a simple but effective solution to back problems while reading. Let me know in the comments below if you have one of these, or are interested in getting one!

Hey guys! I just wanted to apologize for not sticking to my usual posting schedule. School has recently started back and I find I'm having trouble with posting so much within a week. So, I have decided, that during the school season I will post once a week on Mondays. I have a very busy schedule this year, but I promise I will post!
