This book was everything I never knew I wanted. A little dark with an irresistible romance that keeps you hooked from the first page. This was such a short book, 200 pages or so, and I wanted more! The writing style was outstanding and I loved the story-line. A mix between realistic fiction and mystery that is also a young adult contemporary novel. I really loved the effortless feel of this book, how it is such a simple concept and it read as if you were watching a movie. I finished this book in a day because of the length but also because of the way it demanded to be read in one sitting. I will definitely pick up any other book(s) from this author because of this book. Wasn’t very original and was very predictable, but I don’t care! I felt like I could relate to (some) of these characters and understood where they were coming from. This book made me ‘aww’ and made my heart race at all the right times. As you know I give out brownie points for the appearance of a book (because who doesn’t love a great cover?) and unfortunately this book didn’t earn them. Don’t let the cover fool you, this book is a true gem!

I’m just going to skip right to the end because I KNEW it was Matt the whole time! I was so proud of myself that I actually guessed it right! He was just too suspicious and made it really obvious on their trip to get pie. And I knew that Noah was just a sweetheart and wouldn’t do something like that, because he had changed through jail the first time. I don’t think that Cadie and Noah should have blamed themselves for Matt’s death because he deserved it really. I’m just glad they didn’t end up in jail or with severe PTSD. And I’m extremely glad they reunited in the end, because Although I do think they deserved some ‘me time’, they are just better together.

Coffee or Tea with books?

Most people like to have a drink and a snack with them when reading, the question is though, whether you prefer coffee or tea? Now as a southern white girl (I can just see the stereotypes piling up) I was raised on Starbucks and Sweet Tea. Although I tend to drink more coffee than tea, I still like both. One can argue that these two things don't really count as tea or coffee seeing as they are all sugared up and transformed from their original state. But honestly, when i'm reading I don't usually drink anything, and if I do it's water. The only time I make coffee or tea myself, is when I want to take a cool bookstagram picture, and then I end up dumping it out without drinking it. I have an owlcrate subscription so when they pack tea into their boxes I usually just keep them around for keepsake purposes. Sometimes I will get the courage to actually drink those teas, but I end up not liking them because they are too bitter or have no taste. Does anyone else share

Goodreads Summary *NO SPOILERS* This book has me shook. Usually, I jump right into writing my review after I finish a book, but I had to sit and compose myself for a minute after getting done. This book was close to being on my Top 5 2017 list, but it didn’t make it because of some issues I had with the book regarding my personal preferences. Everything about this book was flawless, the writing style, the story, each character, was beautiful. It warmed my heart to read this book because it is a true piece of art. Except, this book had blood and gruesome details that made me queasy. I hate anything to do with doctors or hospitals, especially needles and blood. This book had the latter two in abundance. If I hadn’t liked the rest of this book so much, this review probably would have gone in the opposite direction. The story has a Frankenstein vibe to it, and it also gave me a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde vibe because of a character and his behavior. I know Goodreads says

Book Road Trip!

{Credit to Conceptdraw.com} For a long time now I have always wanted to go on a road trip, and then I thought to myself, “What better way to make it more useful than to add books?” Voila! That is how this idea came to life. As a resident of the great state of Florida, that is where I will start. I will then make my way across the country to hundreds of different Indie bookstores and maybe meet up with booktubers and instagramers while I’m en route. I want to save up some cash and then buy at least one book from the bookstores I visit and keep tabs on where I’ve been and what it was like. I’ve had my heart set on going on a road trip for some time now and this just makes it even better! I think this is a great way to discover new books while also travelling and seeing different parts of the country.
