Lost Boy by Christina Henry

Goodreads Summary *NO SPOILERS* I don’t know if I have ever told you this, but re-tellings of fairy-tales and classics are some of my favorite reads. What makes this book even better is that it is a Peter Pan re-telling! Although it is from Hook’s point of view, this book is still extremely intriguing. I always love tales from the supposed “villain” and this is a darker tale than the original. I really liked this book but if I were to change anything, it would be that we got to read more about Jamie with the pirates. This story focuses more on the relationship Jamie and Peter had as kids, and how Jamie came to hate Peter, and then eventually became Hook. I felt like there could have been a little more of the grown-up pirate and not the lost boy in Peter’s band of wildlings. I liked this view of my favorite fairy-tale, and was glad the author kept most of the things from the original story. She also added some new elements that made this book completely her own. So,

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Goodreads Summary *NO SPOILERS* Leigh Bardugo is an auto buy author for me, so I knew I would love this book right when it came out. Then I finally got around to reading it and it didn’t not disappoint! I loved all of the characters within the first few chapters. I also loved how it was set in the same Grishaverse as her other series that starts with Shadow and Bone . You don’t need to read her other series first, but it would help you understand the world better and get the references to other characters and places from those books. It was so nice to see some of my babies cross over to this book every now and then. I really liked the idea of a heist for this book and I loved to see the characters play it out, because it just seemed to suit them. I haven’t read a book solely about a heist before in the YA category, so the concept was pretty new to me. I also really liked how unpredictable this book was, in the sense I was confused most of the time because I couldn’t f

So you know how I said that after Irma I would be back to posting regularly? Well I lied. With everything I have going on with school to get ready for college and keeping my grades up with all of the college entrance exams like the ACT and SAT, plus all of my extra curricular activities, I haven't even thought about my blog lately. I feel so guilty about not posting at all and it is kind of messing with my head and I don't need that right now. So I have decided that I will post the rest of my pre-written posts and then I will go into hibernation until summer. The posts wont be with any pictures it will just be my review on the books. After those posts are gone I will not post anything more until school is out. I will come back and put pictures in june. I feel as if I should really lock down and focus on my school work. This website will still be up and running for anyone to visit should they wish to re-read a post or are reading them for the first time. So basic

Goodreads Summary *NO SPOILERS* What I took away from this book is that when you judge people, nothing good comes of it. The main character was judged harshly by everyone around her, because of her abilities, and it almost ruined her life. The people in this book showed humanities instinct to fear the unknown and unnatural, and it is also wired in the human brain to fear death. I really liked this book, and it progressed as it went on, I also really liked the mystery surrounding this book. I haven’t heard anything of this book until I saw it on BookOutlet, when I read the synopsis, I was instantly hooked! I haven’t read anything like this, and it sort of reminded me of one of those short writing prompts you see on Pinterest. When I was making my predictions for how the book would turn out, I was so sure of myself, that this book completely shocked me in how I didn’t predict a single thing right. Obviously, this book wasn’t hard to figure out, up until the point you
