So I couldn't find the synopsis on Goodreads but I assume you can get the gist from the title. Comment if you just really want me to type the back cover for you. This will be a short review and I won't go through my criteria, because this book is more of a educational book than a fun read. I'm not a big believer in reincarnation, but I thought it would be an interesting topic to learn more about. I'm a very curious person and I love to learn new things so this book was a good read for me to expand my knowledge on the subject. My religion does not include reincarnation in its doctrine so basically all I knew before reading this book is that people's souls are "recycled" (for a lack of a better term) from lifetime to lifetime. People are literally reborn in different bodies after their death. I bought this book from BookOutlet because it seemed mildly interesting, and so I could brag that I bought 14 books for $42 (that dang boxing day sale, am I right?) I fully went into this purchase expecting this book to look pretty on my shelves for two years, but I just so happened to read the right book before it. So when I finished Follow Me Back by A.V. Geiger I was looking for something similar, you know the whole “anonymous correspondence” trope. I found it in this book – because duh, the title- and absolutely loved it! But boy did this book make me cry, only at the very end though, so you’re safe readers who hate sad books (I’m talking to you mom). Mostly I was smiling like a crazy woman reading about this adorable love story. There are some clichés in this book, but they are good clichés. Upon finishing this book, I sat here staring at my screen debating about what I could say about this book, because I felt that it was an alright read. In my opinion, this book is way over hyped but that hype was one of the reasons I kept reading. Yes, I liked the romance and the friendships made in this book, but that isn’t what the story is about. I felt that the suspense was a little too drawn out and it made me excited to finish so I could figure it out and be done with it. And then when I did finally get to the big reveal, I felt as if it fell a little short. I was expecting it to be a huge “ah-ha” moment but it was just glossed over and moved on to the next piece of the puzzle.
