Today I want to share with you some things that really irk my nerves when reading. Some things just get to me in a book, and here are some examples: Not having chapter numbers - I don’t really have a valid explanation as to why this gets to me, but it does. Sometimes I get motivation to finish a book by calculating how many chapters I have left based on how many chapters there are total. I CAN’T DO THAT WITHOUT CHAPTER NUMBERS!! Not naming the POV’s- If your book has multiple points of view… PLEASE LABEL THEM. I hate having to figure out whose chapters I’m reading. If you don’t make it insanely obvious, please assume I don’t know who is who, okay?   Dog-eared pages- This one is pretty self-explanitory. I like to keep my books very pristine and in tip-top shape, so don’t go around messing up the corners of my pages. For today’s Manic Monday I’m going to share with you something I have recently received for my birthday… BOOKEEPER! The Bookeeper is a weight that holds your book open for you so you don’t have to hold it! This product is made by the brand Superior Essentials. It can come in Black, Green, or Red. Bookeeper has a special grip technology that keeps it from sliding up to and angle of 45 degrees! It is waterproof and washable, it also has a matte finish that keeps it from picking up dirt or lint. In the few days that I have been using it has been extremely useful. It is also great for reading outside because the wind has no power over the Bookeeper! Goodreads link for Ender's Game                                                           Goodreads link for Illuminae IF YOU LIKE Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card THEN READ Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff I enjoy reading sci-fi books and both of these made me just absolutely fall in love with the genre. Enders game is a great story about a little boys adventure in space to win a war. Illuminae is another great story about a ships war for survival.
